Paradisus Los Cabos proudly announces its designation as Los Cabos only 2022/2023 Blue Flag hotel.

Blue Flag is an internationally recognized badge operating under the auspices of the Foundation for Environmental Education based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Candidates for the Blue Flag badge must meet and maintain a series of strict environmental criteria during the current season; security and services; environmental education and water quality.

Paradisus Los Cabos has had the environment top of mind since its inception, especially in regards to the preservation and care of local beaches and the nesting areas of endangered birds, called El Gallito Marino, or sea roosters. To receive Blue Flag certification, each hotel must comply with strict guidelines to mitigate their carbon footprint, reduce water consumption, minimize environmental impact and reduce waste. Paradisus Los Cabos goes above and beyond, extending its support to the community through many charitable works as well as providing a superb guest experience.

“It is a great honor for us to have received this award, undoubtedly the result of the effort to ensure that our hotels meet all standards of well-being towards our guests, towards the environment and towards our entire community.” – Mr. Edward Di Luca, Regional Director of the Mexican Pacific.

I visited the hotel pre-pandemic and reported on it for Getting On Travel. Read my full review here: Hard to say Adios to Paradisus Los Cabos
