Beautiful Bali Hotels Part II for Families, Couples & Teens

Posted in: Asia, Stay | 0

These three beautiful Bali hotels have something special to offer families, teens, and couples looking to create romantic memories. For a full review of another of my favorite resorts see my previous post, Beautiful Bali Hotels – Part I, Alaya Resort Ubud.

Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali

Thalasso means of the sea, and if beach time with your bestie, your babies, or your bae is top of your list, the Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Spa is the beautiful Bali hotel you’re looking for. This rambling property occupies 8 hectares that front onto Nusa Dua Beach, about twenty minutes from Bali International Airport. That means you can be off the plane and into your bathing suit in less than an hour.

With a choice of 377 rooms and suites, there’s something to satisfy every guest, from a family reunion to a romantic couple’s getaway. Kids will love the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, a waterpark with a water slide, a climbing wall, and a Kids’ Club with lots of planned activities. Mom and Dad might like to spend some time in the Infinity Pool overlooking the ocean with a mango daiquiri from the pool bar. Everyone will enjoy the lazy river that winds its way through the property.

Consider adding the all-inclusive package to your reservation. There are seven restaurants and three bars on site with a wide variety of unlimited dining options from Indian, Chinese, and seafood to Indonesian and international fare. The buffets are amazing with a huge, and more importantly, delicious, selection of dishes.

The Thalasso Spa will pamper you with seawater and seaweed treatments. End your day with live entertainment or a quiet drink on the rooftop bar.

Budhi Ayu Villa – A Romantic Getaway in Beautiful Bali

This charming, cozy boutique hotel surrounds you with nature and pampers you in traditional Balinese style. It’s one of the most beautiful Bali hotels, and one of the most romantic. Budhi Ayu Villas can be found a short walk from downtown Ubud and once inside the vine covered walls you’ll find privacy, tranquility, great service and delicious dining.

The hotel offers two and three bedroom villas, deluxe rooms and one splendid cottage. The deluxe rooms overlook one of the two sparkling pools and share a breezy verandah. The architecture and decor features the extensive use of mahogany and stone, from beautifully carved furniture to the statues of goddesses that adorn the main pool.

Follow the stone walking paths through the lush landscaping to the upstairs restaurant for a la carte breakfast and dinner services made with local, fresh ingredients. Ask about the floating breakfast, served in your own private pool or a romantic candlelight dinner for two under the stars.

If you can tear yourself away, there are cooking and painting classes to enjoy. The concierge can organize car and motorbike rentals and tours of the island.

Lemborgan Beach Club & Resort, a Teen Dream

Come for a day or stay for a week, the Lemborgan Beach Club & Resort on the island of Lemborgan will welcome you with a traditional Balinese blessing. A beach chaise will be waiting for you beside the pool. A ferry from Sanur Harbour to the island takes about 35 minutes and you’ll be met at the beach by club staff who will transfer you by van to the resort, just a quick ride away.

Day trippers are welcome (reservations required), but to really enjoy the island I’d recommend a longer stay. There are 42 private villas at this luxurious resort, most with private plunge pools, comfy four poster beds, and carved mahogany furnishing in modern Balinese style.

Dine at Sea Sky Restaurant or drop in for lunch at TJ’s Bistro, and you’ll find ingredients from the resort’s own hydroponic garden and fresh seafood caught just offshore and a creative menu. Young adults can get great Instagram posts by the pool posing with alcohol free cocktails. Couples can enjoy a view of the sunset from the patio or arrange for a private dining experience.

Devil’s Tear Limestone Formation near Dream Beach

Swim, snorkel, or surf the warm waters of the Bali Sea. The resort can organize any water sports you like, plus overland tours to other sites like the dramatic limestone cliffs of Devil’s Tear, where waves crash against the coastline with every incoming wave. It’s truly a beautiful Bali hotel.
