Restaurants in Banff and Lake Louise: A Toast to Getting Toasty

You may have driven right past these cozy lodge restaurants, half hidden in the green forests along the highway in Banff and Lake Louise. Each one has a outstanding menu and a unique little extra that you won’t want to miss.

Baker Creek Bistro, Lake Louise

One of the quietest restaurants to visit in the mountains, Baker Creek Bistro offers no cell service. That’s right – put your phone down and listen to the geese and the howl of distant wolves.

First Nations people have been coming here for centuries. Visit the Juniper Bistro for Canadian inspired dishes and visit the new archaeological site afterwards.

Storm Mountain Lodge, Lake Louise

Curl up with a good book, a cup of tea and an exceptional dessert at Storm Mountain Lodge. Their tiny gift shop is a treasure trove of Canadian made and Canadian inspired books and gifts and the restaurant is a hidden gem in the Lake Louise area.

You can easily visit all three of these restaurants in Banff and Lake Louise in one delicious day. Have a hearty breakfast at Baker Creek Bistro, then take a stroll along the creek to spot wildlife before heading to Storm Mountain Lodge for a tasty lunch. Stop along the way to visit the new Parks Canada statue that honors Ukrainian settlers. Finish with a view of the sunset over cocktails and dinner at the Juniper Bistro just off the TransCanada Highway near Banff.
